Earth Shrine Mystery

MEDIUM | Stonereach Cavern (collapsed Session 31)

Discovery: Broken shrine with Orcish "EARTH" runes (glowing red, bleeding appearance). Human/elf/animal bones arranged in wolf shape. Elik'r's Mending triggered wolf howl.

Key Questions:

Who built it? Who performed bone ritual?
Purpose? (Elik'r assessed: "balance of nature")
Why Orcish in human/elf lands?
Other elemental shrines? (FIRE/WATER/AIR?)
Connection to Humanoid Wolf Rider?

Evidence: Ground shaking pattern (earthquake/murders/shrine), Earthbound Dire Wolf emerged after repair, cavern collapsed (inaccessible).

Oswick's Transformation

MEDIUM | Moth Queen Cavern - Session 34

Mystery: How was Oswick Porridgepot (halfling with crooked nose, missing right hand) transformed into Moth Queen?

Key Questions:

Transformation mechanism? (Bane corruption suspected)
When did it occur? (disappeared 3 months before S34)
Was "mythical Garlic Patch" lure or genuine quest?
Who/what caused transformation?
Similar pattern to Earthbound Dire Wolf (S31) - both corrupted creatures attacking settlements
Connection to Bane release timeline? (The Bane released Session 18)

Evidence: Oil lamp with "Oswick Porridgepot" engraved found in cavern (kept by Elik'r Stormswallow, name rubbed out). Moth Queen defeated revealed halfling body with crooked nose and missing right hand. Family not informed of true fate.

Dragon's Tear Significance

MEDIUM | Session 30 artifact

Mystery: Only item from Dream Temple that persisted in reality. All other gems disappeared upon waking. Dragon shed single tear after Elvva's forgiveness demonstration - tear became sapphire gem with swirling eerie light inside.

Questions:

Why did this persist when all other items vanished?
What are its magical properties?
Connection to Bane? (Elvva's corruption advanced)
Connection to forgiveness theme?
Should party take to Citadel for examination?

Current Status: Elvva possesses, properties unknown, unidentified.

Odonia's Warg Ability Origin

MEDIUM | Session 30 transformation - MECHANICS REVEALED Session 31

Origin: Gained when Khorrak's green ooze seeped under debris and covered unconscious Odonia. Body whisped away in green smoke, emerged transformed with shifting tattoo (onyx/orchid ink morphing between animals).

Mechanics Revealed (Session 31): Grey die determines control - even = full control, odd = creature's hostile instincts retained. First combat test rolled 3 (odd) - attacked Tessell instead of wolf.

Questions:

Is green ooze = Bane manifestation?
Why this specific ability? (Warging vs other transformations)
Connection to wolf shrine/earth magic?
Is tattoo permanent magical change?
Will ability develop further?

Evidence: Green ooze pattern matches other Bane events (ToooAh's Scorching Ray, Elvva's petrification, skeletal soldier's green light departure). Tattoo constantly shifts forms.

Session 26 Mysteries

Elincia's Triple Identity

HIGH | Escaped Session 26, whereabouts unknown

Confirmed Identities:

Thalas - Black Knight assassin, king's killer
Lady Alysanne - Noble at court, "conveniently away" during attacks
Elincia Flowers - White Falcon Knight, mother of Ser Alvar/Yavanna

Questions:

How maintained triple identity undetected?
Where is she now? (Fire teleportation escape)
What is "the kingdom" in her final words?
Who are her remaining allies?
Can she return to court disguised again?

Evidence: Helmet melted by Elvva's acid revealed face. Party recognized her as Lady Alysanne. Final words: "The war has only just begun! The kingdom will be ours!"

Fizwidget Spindleflash's True Nature

HIGH | Session 27 & 33 - Fey/Archfey/Trickster God?

Demonstrated Powers:

Created entire pocket dimensions (Carnival Realm S27, Winter Realm S33)
Controlled time within realms
Instant teleportation, intercepts party mid-travel
Matter transformation, equipment transmutation
Age regression (entire party to teenagers 16-17)
Ability suppression (flight, fire magic)
Environmental creation (villages, NPCs, creatures)
Reality warping at will
Claimed avenging cousin/brother (Barry - gnome shot in eye)

Questions:

Fey, Archfey, or Trickster God?
Connection to Barry's gnome army?
Why target this party specifically? (2 interventions during mission-critical travel)
What triggers interventions? (Pattern: Session 27 post-feast, Session 33 en route to Moth Queen)
Were magical item gifts rewards or traps?
Allegiance in civil war?
What happened to ToooAh? (Kept as punishment S33, whereabouts unknown S34 - will DM explain S35?)
What happened to Liora Emberveil? (Appeared in Winter Realm S33, did not return S34 - real person or construct?)
Will grant magical items after Winter Realm? (Session 27 precedent: 4 items)
How to prevent future interventions?

Threat Assessment: PATTERN CONFIRMED (Session 33) - Second intervention establishes he will return repeatedly. Targets party during mission-critical moments. Unpredictable timing. Far beyond normal gnome. Could threaten Stormhold Keep while party away. Conventional defenses useless against reality warping.

What is "The Kingdom"?

HIGH | Elincia's final words (Session 26)

Quote: "The war has only just begun! The kingdom will be ours!"

Questions:

Which kingdom? (Odessia already 50/50 split)
Different kingdom entirely?
"Ours" = Falcon faction? Or larger conspiracy?
Connection to Bane? (Multiple kingdoms unified?)
Why phrase it this way instead of "Odessia"?

Theories:

All three kingdoms united under Falcon control
Fourth unknown kingdom
Bane-corrupted kingdom
Metaphorical (kingdom of dead/corrupted?)

MEDIUM | Mysterious petrified figure

Description: 12ft tall purple dragonborn petrified in unknown cave. Calls out to Elik'r telepathically. Connection unclear.

Questions:

Who is he? Why petrified?
What's his connection to Elik'r?
Location of cave?
Threat or ally if freed?
How to break petrification?

Investigate the Ship Petrification

MEDIUM | Avicia's family tragedy

Event: Ship pursuing young Avicia petrified at sea. Entire vessel turned to stone mid-pursuit. Killed Avicia's mother (Verona), father (High King's second son), and crew.

Questions:

Who petrified ship? (Avicia as terrified child?)
Why were they pursued?
Who sent pursuers?
Avicia's natural power manifestation?
Connection to her magical talent?

Evidence: "Unknown Small Figure" from Elik'r's vision = young Avicia. Patriarch confirmed she petrified ship as child.

LOW | Multiple fake deaths documented

Mystery: Ser Balthazar Thornwood (wyvern shapeshifter, deceased) had multiple death certificates spanning decades. How? Why?

Questions:

How many fake deaths?
Purpose of multiple identities?
Organization supporting him?
Other shapeshifters with same pattern?

MEDIUM | Former party member, deceased

Death: ~1 month ago. Went to Eastern Citadel, died there. Circumstances unknown.

Questions:

How did he die?
Why Eastern Citadel?

Elincia Flowers - Triple identity revealed, escaped via fire teleportation, promised "The war has only just begun! The kingdom will be ours!"
Skull-Faced Cloaked Man - Purple robes, gold cane, called Elincia "My Queen," skull = actual face or mask? Escaped with group
Skeletal Soldier - Skeletal/raspy voice, never visible during combat, escaped via eerie green light teleportation (possible Bane connection - green matches pattern)
Black Knight (Warhammer) - Stopped Tessell's punch mid-air (immense strength), departed via brownish light portal, different faction?
Unknown Axe Fighter - Magical 2H axe, kidnapped Tessell previously (Session 22), escaped with others

At Large (Not in Throne Room):

Ser Alvar Flowers - Bastard son of Gaelin, leading southern Falcon army
Yavanna Lightwhisper - Bastard daughter of Gaelin, Alvar's twin, whereabouts unknown

Questions:

Working together or separate factions?
Teleportation methods vary (fire, green light, brown light) - significance?
Green light = Bane connection? Brown light = different power source?
Who commands overall network?
Are cloaked man and skeletal soldier the same person? (both skull-related)
Will they return?
